What We Love
Ephemerality, fragility, the passing of time – all tucked into a swell of moonstone cabochons shining with the iridescence of soap bubbles. Recalls a detail from a painting made around 1859 by the French artist Thomas Couture, in which the subject contemplates soap bubbles as symbols of transience. Expertly set in 14k solid gold.
We are proud to introduce our second collection with The Metropolitan Museum of Art. These five pieces were brought to life through an exploration of the themes in The Costume Institute’s spring 2024 exhibitionSleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion. We contemplate a string of ephemeral moments, the passage of time, and the objects that live on.
